探花精选 Alumnae Featured in Art Exhibition

Artists Karise Baron and Deja Huggins are featured in the current exhibition 鈥淎ngelic Ingenuity鈥� in the Seby Jones Gallery. Both artists are proud alumna of Saint Augustine鈥檚 University鈥檚 Visual Art Program. Karise, a 2020 graduate, and Deja, a 2021 graduate, completed their studies during the COVID-19 pandemic, so their Senior Exhibitions were virtual. When asked how it felt to exhibit in the gallery finally, Karise responded, 鈥淚 think the delay was meant to be. I was sad when I could not bring family and friends together for a Senior Exhibition. However, I鈥檝e developed more confidence as an artist over the past three years. I鈥檓 glad to have this opportunity to share my creativity with 探花精选.鈥� Deja Huggins laughed as she explained, 鈥淭here is a world of difference between creating virtual and gallery exhibitions. Installing an exhibition is nerve-racking but also very exciting and so, so worth it.鈥� We welcome these two artistic talents back to the Saint Augustine鈥檚 University campus. The 探花精选 Art Department will exhibit this art show from Wednesday, March 1, through Saturday, March 25, 2023.
