探花精选 To Host First USA-Sanctioned Cycling Race at an HBCU
On听April 20, 2022听Saint Augustine鈥檚 University ( 探花精选) will host the 探花精选 Short Track MTB/CX Invitational, the first USA-Sanctioned Cycling Race at an HBCU. The event takes place at 5 p.m. at Emery Gymnasium. Approximately 100 cyclists have registered to participate.听听In April 2020, 探花精选 launched the first HBCU cycling team in the country through its School of Business, Management, & Technology. Approved and registered by听听to compete in the collegiate club Atlantic division against dozens of other schools in the Southeast, the team is coached by professors Umar Muhammad and Dr. Mark Janas, both of whom teach sport management courses at Saint Augustine鈥檚 University. The team began competition in Fall 2020.听
